Pot Spot @ Eco Ardence

Looking for a nice place to chill?

Eco Ardence has good vibes written all over it. It's set in a vibrant and cute environment with colourful containers housing an array of interesting eateries, snacks, desserts and other shops. All of that tucked away in an urban garden with a playground and lake.

We made a stop at Pot Spot for lunch because I was suddenly reminded by my craving for Bak Kut Teh after smelling its enticing herbal-meaty scent.

Pot Spot also serves Hot Pot during dinner time. You may choose to dine outdoors to enjoy the beautiful view of the lake while watching kids play at the playground next to it.

Or opt to take a seat inside the shop for those who prefer to dine in the comforts of a fully air-conditioned space.

The Bak Kut Teh meat is tender and soup is packed full of herbal and meaty flavours while still looking clear. I enjoy strong tasting Bak Kut Tehs but some of them have really murky looking soups which make you wonder what the chefs put in them or how long it has been cooking in the same pot. (In other words- a slight bit dodgy)

Of course nothing better than to pair a hearty Bak Kut Teh meal with some good old fashioned hot chinese tea served in little cups for that extra traditional feels.

I like having my Bak Kut Teh with fragrant oily rice and here they serve it with crispy fried onions on top! They have noodles too, something a little extra from the usual.

We also tried their dry version which is slightly spicy and tasty. It goes well with rice and is perfect for when you aren't in the mood for soup.

We had other add-ons such as pork intestines, the must-have yau char koay and vegetables too. A complete, balance and satisfying meal. Do check Eco Ardence out and maybe have some Hot Pot or Bak Kut Teh by the lake!
